Call for papers

Authors are invited to submit papers with a minimum length of two and a maximum length of five A4 pages. The paper must contain enough information for the Technical Programme Committee and reviewers to assess the quality of the work in a single acceptance/rejection review process. Note that the TPC and reviewers will especially care about plagiarism and duplicate submissions.

FIRM DEADLINE

Please recall the EurAAP policy for EuCAP: there will be no extension of the paper submission deadline; late or updated submissions will not be accommodated after October 18, 2024.

Best Paper Awards

For EuCAP 2025, there will be a Best Student Paper Award and five Best Paper Awards in the categories: Antenna Theory and Design, Antenna Applied Technology, Electromagnetics, Propagation, and Measurement.

Final Paper

1. IEEE format compliance

Presented papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore®, if the authors choose this option during the submission process. Compliance with the IEEE format is mandatory in this case and can be checked using the IEEE PDF eXpress® tool with Conference ID 63536X.

Please be aware that creating a PDF eXpress® account and checking your paper may take some time. We recommend checking possible compatibility problems while writing your paper so as not to encounter delays at the submission time.

The recommended way is using the IEEE PDF eXpress® with the conference code given.

2. Submission in EDAS

Submit your paper online no later than October 18, 2024. This is a hard deadline.

The submission requires an EDAS® account, which is free. Please submit:

During the submission process, the authors must specify two application tracks and two conference topics.

Note that uploading to the Convened Sessions and the Invited Speakers requires a password. Please contact the conveners of your session if you have not received it.

Please note that the author list as entered in EDAS® is final after the submission deadline of October 18, 2024, and cannot be changed at any time afterwards. It is your responsibility that the authors’ names and the abstract in EDAS and in the pdf file match exactly.

Commonly encountered problem

Please note the following commonly-encountered problem which can arise when uploading papers to EDAS.  The platform can return the following error despite there being no apparent problem when visually inspecting the manuscript:

  • Upload failed: The top margin is 1.754 cm on page 4, which is below the required margin of 1.8 cm (or a similarly worded error referring to side-margins, or different measurements, or different pages).

This error often occurs when the bounding box surrounding a figure extends slightly into the margins. This is not noticeable, as the bounding box is white and is extending into a white space.  A simple fix is to make the image slightly smaller, and then resubmit.

Extended Papers Publication

During the submission process, authors can apply for publication of an extended version of the paper in a special issue of the following two journals:

4. Author registration

At least one of the authors of each paper must register as a conference delegate. A delegate cannot register more than two papers in their name as “presenting author”. This applies to regular and convened session papers.

Papers that are not presented at the conference will not be submitted to IEEE Xplore®.

5. Final paper

For authors who wish to submit their paper to IEEE Xplore®, it is mandatory to upload a final version of their paper by January 24, 2025. This version must be compliant with the IEEE format. The recommended way to verify this is to use the IEEE PDF eXpress tool with the Conference ID 63536X.

For authors who do not wish to submit their paper to IEEE Xplore®, final versions can also be uploaded.

In both cases it will only be possible to include minor corrections according to the reviewers’ comments. Please note that you must not change:

  • The paper title.
  • The author list (author names and order).
  • The references list (unless required by the reviewers).

The revised version will be checked and the TPC reserves the right to publish the original version in the case of non-compliance with the above.

It is your responsibility that the authors’ names and the abstract in EDAS and in the pdf file match exactly. If a correction is needed, please send an e-mail to tpc@eucap2025.org not later than January 10, 2025 with your paper identification number and the changes required (including the EDAS identification number of any new or missing authors). Inconsistent names and abstracts will cause problems when building the conference programme.
